About UsAmnesty International Local Group 133 is a very active community volunteer group providing opportunities for meaningful human rights activism within Amnesty International's mandate. Our activism focuses on working for the release of all prisoners of conscience, calling for fair and prompt trials for political prisoners, ending torture and execution, protecting sexual and reproductive rights, combating discrimination, defending refugees and migrants’ rights, and aiming to protect people wherever justice, freedom, truth, and dignity are denied.

Get on the Bus for Human RightsGet on the Bus for Human Rights (GOTB) is an annual day of human rights education and activism organized by Group 133 and a dedicated team of volunteer community organizers. The 29th Get on the Bus will be on Friday April 5th, 2024 in New York City. It will feature actions on Sri Lanka, China/Tibet, Iran, Egypt, and the United Nations.
